My friends used to joke about how I could make friends with anyone just about anywhere. So, it makes sense that documenting people has always been my favorite. Being able to meet someone and connect with them is such an amazing thing and it absolutely influences my work because connection is key. It's what helps create a safe and comfortable environment - allowing people to bring down those walls and let themselves be seen.
When people look at their photos, I want them to see how they exist in the world and why it's beautiful that they are a part of it. I want my images to capture moments that are always happening, but can be easy to miss. I want my work to be an honest reflection that shows them the truth and beauty of their lives.
